This information (below) was obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests since 2015. The two largest amounts of funds received on the Bighorn National Forest gross over $1 million dollars. Of that $1 million dollars a bit more than $35,000 returns to the BNF. Those funds come from the Campground Concessionaire permit. The permit holder does not have to return the funds. They can do in-kind projects in a campground to meet the dollar amount. None of the Recreation residence monies stay on the BNF. They all go to the US Treasury.
